Brave Bison, the social video company, appoints new Executive Vice President & Managing Director for JAPAC as it promotes General Manager for APAC, Caroline Campbell Troman, to the position.
Over the past year, Brave Bison has produced impressive results in the Japan-Asia-Pacific region (JAPAC) and Caroline has been instrumental to this success. Her leadership has seen the Company’s footprint expand into Japan and South Korea, which helped increase revenue in the JAPAC region by 115% last year through multiple successful branded content and influencer campaigns for clients including SK-II, LEGO, Accor Hotels, Land Rover and Uniqlo. The team within the region has grown as a result with a series of key hires that have helped accelerate growth and, in turn, achieve recognition from industry award boards.
As Brave Bison’s Executive Vice President & Managing Director for JAPAC, Caroline will continue to lead this division’s fast expansion. In particular, having established an on-the-ground team in Japan, Caroline will focus on growth within the country, as well as South Korea and Thailand, with a view of expanding into China in 2021. She will also manage and further grow existing relationships with YouTube, the wider Google team and Unruly, who are all current partners.
With many milestones achieved over the past year within JAPAC, Brave Bison has ambitious plans for 2020, which Caroline will spearhead. Primarily, the agency will open its Singapore HQ with its own studio. The space will allow the JAPAC team to take on the creation of original content, as well as accommodating the growing creative and production team.
“Further to expanding the team significantly from 2018-2019, we will continue to focus on growing our JAPAC business with a focus on key countries for us such as Japan, South Korea and Thailand. We have further focus in 2021 on growth in China. We will be moving offices this year to accommodate a growing production & creative team, taking on a studio and starting the production of original content in line with our global strategy, creating content with a purpose”, comments Caroline.
She adds: “We have also grown our Talent and Client Services teams in response to the fantastic new content that we are creating with our key brand clients such as SK-II, LEGO, Accor Hotels, Land Rover and Uniqlo. We have amazing new talent on the ground in Japan and we continue to strengthen our relationship with our key partners such as YouTube, the wider Google team and Unruly.”
Kate Burns, CEO of Brave Bison adds: “It gives me great pride to promote Caroline to Executive Vice President & Managing Director of JAPAC. Caroline and the JAPAC team have worked extremely hard in developing strong relationships and producing exemplary work for Tier 1 clients. As the region continues to be a key part of Brave Bison’s global business, I am confident that Caroline and the team will continue to take a cutting edge approach to social and digital marketing.”
