Brave Bison's football entertainment brand Slash Football has extended its relationship with Sky Q. Sky will be licensing over 300 videos from the Gen Z fan-focused football channel, content that will feature within the Online Video section of their next generation Sky Q platform. The agreement follows a four-episode licensing agreement over the summer during the World Cup.
The licensed content will sit within its own tab on the Sky Q interface and will include content from some of YouTube's most famous influencer football teams including Rebel FC, Baiteze Squad, Eltham SF and SE Dons.
Slash Football will also be creating 30 brand new episodes of grassroots football content that will be exclusive to Sky Q customers.
Slash Football is the latest addition to Sky Q's unrivalled catalogue of online video, box sets and apps including YouTube, Spotify and Netflix making it easier than ever for customers to enjoy the very best content in one place for the ultimate entertainment experience.
Claire Hungate, Chief Executive Officer, Brave Bison, commented: “Sky Q is a ground-breaking entertainment platform, perfectly suited to the Slash Football viewer who was likely born with a smartphone in their hand, streaming content across multiple screens, whenever they choose. We’re hugely excited to be partnering with Sky in another innovative distribution deal, extending the reach of our content to traditional TV viewers and illustrating the importance of owning the intellectual property (IP) rights of our content. Therefore, as well as being one of the biggest online media publishers in the World (ranked 5th in September: Tubular Labs*), we’re engaging with audiences on TV sets too.
Whilst the agreement will not result in a material financial benefit to the Company, it demonstrates further disruption of the existing sports ecosystem by Brave Bison's engaging influencer and social video content.
