Staying ahead in the age of social commerce: How to meet, delight and convert Gen Z customers where they already are

The avenues through which new customers can discover and purchase your products are proliferating rapidly. BigCommerce’s research commissioned by Google found that 80% of new shoppers interact with multiple digital touchpoints before making a conversion.

To capitalise on this complexity, many businesses like HMV are already using composable technologies to curate personalised and seamless commerce experiences that find and convert new consumers on the platforms they already use.

“For us, the idea of a singular customer is redundant,” explains Connor Weir, community manager at HMV. “We have thousands of different types of customers across different niche areas of interest, so we need to talk to them on their terms.”

In the second session from our first-ever Composable Commerce Summit, we’ll dive into the emerging shopping behaviours that are transforming the commerce landscape and discuss how best to identify, integrate and optimise the composable commerce solutions that can help you stay ahead.

“Shopping behaviours have transitioned from active discovery and searching of products to products finding us through content,” says Flavia De FFyfer, fashion lead at TikTok Shop.

Join Flavia, Connor, Oliver Millar, COO at Luxe Collective; and Elizabeth Azide, Director of Marketing EMEA at BigCommerce, as they cover:

  • How to navigate the emerging social commerce landscape to find and convert new audiences on platforms they’re already using

  • How to build a future-fit tech stack that keeps apace with changing shopping behaviours

  • The secret to a successful test-and-learn approach
