Warner Bros. needed to transform the UK's DC social channels from passive feeds into must-follow destinations for British fans.
The challenge wasn't awareness. It was proving that the UK channels could offer something fans weren't already getting from the global DC accounts. Our task was to reposition the channels with a bold, fan-first approach that would drive relevance, participation and love for the DC universe.
We knew we had to create something distinct, giving fans something they couldn't get from the global DC content machine.
We repositioned DC UK's channels as cultural hubs for local fans, serving content with a uniquely British tone and a focus on community engagement, nostalgia and social-first storytelling.
We tapped into fan behaviours, leaned on nostalgic callbacks and reimagined iconic DC moments through the lens of local culture. Community management wasn't an afterthought. Our team embedded themselves in the conversation, replying in character, reacting in real time and creating content based on what fans were talking about.
We also prioritised platform-native formats, including quick-fire carousels, lo-fi memes, nostalgic fan polls and reactive content aligned with UK conversations.
