Selling out World Fencing League's debut event with 2.45 million impressions

CHALLENGE

World Fencing League needed to launch as a brand new global sports and entertainment property, from a standing start. Its inaugural event in Los Angeles had no existing audience and no track record to build on, in a market where fencing isn't a mainstream draw. The brief was to build awareness fast, drive ticket sales, and sell out the venue for a sport making its world debut.

Beyond the event itself, the launch needed to lay a foundation fans would come back to.

SOLUTION

We built a full-funnel paid media strategy powered by data-led targeting, moving audiences from first exposure through to ticket purchase. We built awareness first, moved fans through consideration, then converted high-intent audiences into buyers.

Our team also captured the event and social content live, bringing the speed and atmosphere of world-class fencing to audiences who couldn't be there in-person. That coverage extended the campaign's reach well beyond the arena. This event forms part of our wider fan engagement work, where we help sports and entertainment brands turn audiences into revenue.
