THE BRIEF

Create a new platform to support Milk & More’s mission: delivering glass-bottled fresh milk (and 200 other products) to thousands of doorsteps in the UK. The eCommerce system had to be capable of processing tens of thousands of daily transactions for delivery by 7 AM the following morning. All without crashing during peak demand.

HOW WE DID IT  

We developed a smooth online experience that was as reliable, easy and convenient: just like a friendly, dependable milkman or woman. Upgrading from SAP Hybris to SAP Commerce Cloud V2 increased performance and reliability. 

The custom platform streamlined delivery rounds for existing and new addresses, making more products available. Improved payment systems and user journeys made ordering even easier.

Our approach

We built a platform capable of coping with huge surges in demand, and just as well we did because the pandemic hit not long after launch day. This was an extreme test, but one we passed with flying colours. In fact, countless customers and the BBC hailed Milk & More as a hero and food lifeline of the first lockdown.
