Industry news

Our key partner Vue Storefront rebranded to Alokai, in a transformative shift that’s about more than a new name. Here's what our Growth Director, Ben Field-Johnson, had to say on it:

The rebranding from Vue Storefront to Alokai is a wise move that clearly aligns with their current strategy. By shedding the 'Vue' from their name, Alokai reinforces their commitment to being a truly agnostic platform supporting multiple frontend frameworks like React, rather than just Vue.js.

However, Alokai's core mission of simplifying composable commerce adoption for merchants remains intact, positioning themselves as a bridge between modern composable approaches and legacy eCommerce platforms like SAP, Salesforce, and Adobe Commerce, as well as modern MACH platforms.

The new name captures their vision to be 'guides' and 'leaders' in this space, harmonising different technologies into seamless digital experiences.

Overall, this highlights Alokai's evolution as a composable front-end pioneer, while not fundamentally changing their strategic, 'front-end first', direction. We share Alokai's excitement in this move and look forward to the continued success our partnership delivers for our clients.” Don’t miss the full story here.

New and evolving products

Product Q&A on PDP
Klevu is launching a Q&A chat widget for the product detail page (PDP) to help shoppers better understand that particular product. This is particularly useful for shoppers who may land straight on the PDP without prior knowledge of the retailer's products. Along with data featured on the page, the tool can also send specific data to open AI to provide information that isn’t available, such as size conversions.

Time Machine Preview with Filter API
This month, Amplience launched its Time Machine Preview with Filter API as the only headless CMS to offer content scheduling with a time-based full-site preview. You can pull previews of future versions of your site using an easily sharable link from Dynamic Content, Amplience’s integrated CMS, while the Filter API makes it easy to list, filter and sort content. All this to help you schedule content with confidence.
